Text Walkthrough
- Open the Menu ---> Learning Content--->Questions
- In the top right-hand corner select the + Add New button
- Change the question type to Essay
- Add a Name
- Type in the Question
- Next, enter Minimum Length and Feedback if desired (This question is not graded like other questions so feedback is not necessary).
- Minimum Length is how many individual letters (character count) the Essay needs to have ( not word count)
- i.e. "Iloveturtles"= 12 characters " I love turtles"= 12 characters

- Enable User Feedback
- If you would like your students to be able to add comments their answer (not really necessary for Essay questions)
- When you have everything you want filled out Press Save and take a look at the Preview
- The preview is how it will look to a student.
- If you need to change anything, go ahead and do so and press save again. If not, you have created your Essay Question!
